Hi All,
I just spoke with Fred and it sounds like they have a difficult decision to make. She isn't able to breath well on her own, so they doctors have given the family a choice- either they take her off the respirator and let nature take it's course, or they insert a permanent breathing device and she will have to stay in a care facility for the rest of her life on the breathing machine.
There will be a meeting with the doctors and the family tomorrow at 10:00am to decide what they want to do. At this point it sounds like they are leaning towards having the respirator removed and leaving her in God's hands. He will either take her home, or heal her up. Either of those options sound a lot better than being bedridden and on a breathing machine for the remainder of her years. But neither of these choices are easy ones to make.
Please pray for wisdom and clear guidance from God for Fred and the family. Pray for an extra measure of peace in whichever choice they make. I will keep you updated as soon as I hear more from Fred tomorrow.
